Song for Debra Steeves

Like all of our Toastmasters' Roasts of outgoing Club Presidents, the Roast for Debra Steeves (President 2009-2010) was more fun than a car full of clowns.

Jim Kokocki wrote the lyrics, provided guitar music and led the singing. Shawn Jones and Stephen Almon sang and danced.

brief guitar opening – polka theme

She's President, our President.
She's one we love to torment.
We like the way the year went
Since Shane packed his tent.

That's ok, for her day.
Dance for us she did say!
It's our job to obey
So we sing the Deb Steeves polka !!!!!!

Hendrix-like guitar solo by Jim Kokocki and manic dancing by Shawn Jones.

Every time they hear her joke on stage
They all laugh and say, "Hey, hey, hey!"
They want to throw their cares away.
She makes them want to laugh and play.

When she speaks she goes, "Blah-blah-blah-blah."
We all laugh we go, "Ha-ha-ha-ha."
She has us just in awe, awe, awe.
So we sing the Deb Steeves polka !!!!!!

Polka guitar solo by Jim Kokocki and graceful dancing by Stephen Almon. Graceful??

Every time they hear her joke on stage
They all laugh and say, "Hey, hey, hey!"
They want to throw their cares away.
She makes them want to laugh and play.

When she speaks she goes, "Blah-blah-blah-blah."
We all laugh we go, "Ha-ha-ha-ha."
She has us just in awe, awe, awe.
So we sing the Deb Steeves polka !!!!!!

She's like Will Farrell -- she's a Will Farrell of fun.
She's like Will Farrell -- she puts the blues on the run.
This isn't farewell, but it's the end of Deb's year,
So we think she's like Will Farrell, let's give Deb a cheer!

She's like Will Farrell -- she's a Will Farrell of fun.
She's like Will Farrell -- she puts the blues on the run.
This isn't farewell, but it's the end of Deb's year,
So we think she's like Will Farrell, let's give Deb a cheer!
