Our Club
The club's first meeting was held on January 30, 1999 and was chartered shortly thereafter on March 17, 1999. Some of the benefits unique to this club are that it:
- offers a forum for Toastmasters (above the CTM level) to deliver the longer presentations often found in the Advanced Manuals; inspires Toastmasters to complete their CTM and enjoy the opportunity of stretching further within an Advanced Club environment as members must have achieved their CTM level;
- provides the benefits of a panel of evaluators, as well as written evaluations from all other members; offers leadership opportunities; provides an opportunity to step outside our comfort zones in our home Clubs and yet remain in the Toastmasters' supportive environment; gives us the opportunity to meet other Toastmasters from a wider geographic area and who attend Conferences and share the benefits of the Conferences;
- offers networking opportunities with Saint John, Kennebecasis, Sussex, Fredericton, Riverview and Moncton Clubs and as we continue to grow, Toastmasters from all over New Brunswick!
Club members must be a dual member, i.e., must maintain a membership in their home Club as well as the Advanced Club;
Our growing membership of 20+ meets once a month on a Saturday from 08:30 to 10:30 at the All Seasons Inn (1015 Main Street) in Sussex, New Brunswick. You may recognize it as the log cabin restaurant that's located on the road to Poley Mountain.
Guests are always welcomed without any obligation to participate!
